Star Image - Point 2
Taylor Swift throughout the years...
When Taylor Swift first started out in her music career she was only 17 years old, so over the years she has grown up and changed, so has her music and the way she writes and performs it. At the beginning of her career she sings about boys she likes that don't feel the same about her (this is shown in the song tear drops on my guitar) its very much a country album with that small town sweetheart feel to it. She is singing very typical country songs about she isn't good enough for the people around her.
Then as she matures she then changes her perspective sings about how it is the boys loss and how they are missing out on her, rather than being upset by it all. The style of the music also changes to a more of a pop infused and country vibe. Just in a couple years there is a big change in the way she sings and writes her songs. Her perspective on love changes and she sings about self love instead of not being good enough for the guy.
As she gets older and releases more albums she continues to get hates which just grows and grows. However, instead of letting that drag her down and get bogged down in all the negativity she uses that to better her and her career, she starts with songs like 'shake it off' and 'blank space' which are very girly and have typically female connotations within them (especially in her music videos), dancing, cheerleading, lots of dresses, glamorous make up etc. Then it changes and she releases the album reputation, in this album she has songs such as 'look what you made me do', 'bad blood' and 'ready for it'. These show a change in Taylor and as she takes a more independent and strong view. There's an extreme difference in the types of songs, in this album it gives a more angry feel, it is like she has had enough and snapping back at the haters.
In her most recent albums 'folklore' and 'evermore' her style has now taken a classy, glamorous and sophisticated approach. Her songs in these albums are more calm and relaxed. It seems as though she has matured and found herself, she has gone through country, to pop, to pop rock and finally to indie which is very similar to the Taylor right at the beginning of her career, however she has grown so much from the place she started.
